Dr Luke Newman is an associate dentist at Dental Boutique Sunshine Coast. His primary focus at Dental Boutique is helping patients achieve a functional and healthy smile through the replacement of missing teeth with dental implants. Luke has an easygoing nature and believes in fostering positive relationships with his patients, built upon honest communication and trust. He feels a great sense of privilege and joy to be invited into a patient’s life and help them on their journey to a confident and functional smile.
Luke was born in South Africa before moving to Brisbane where he spent most of his childhood. From a young age Luke has been interested in working with his hands and helping others, which ultimately drew him to the field of dentistry. He completed his undergraduate degree in biomedical science in Brisbane before moving to Perth where he obtained a Doctor of Dental Medicine with distinction from the University of Western Australia. It was during this period that Luke developed a passion for dental implants and their ability to help transform a patient’s smile and confidence.
After his dental training, Luke moved to the Sunshine Coast and subsequently Gympie where he has worked in private practice since 2018. During this time he has gained extensive experience in all elements of general dentistry and has pursued his interest in dental implantology and oral surgery by undertaking further training to achieve a Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology. Luke is committed to evidence-based practices that achieve the best outcomes for his patients.
Away from Dental Boutique, Luke loves spending time with his wife and two young sons, soaking up everything the beautiful Sunshine Coast region has to offer. This can include anything from mountain biking, walking his dogs, hiking adventures and trail running.
A patient’s dental journey is one that should be founded in trust, communication and teamwork.
