Dental Crowns and Bridge
Real Client. Real Result. Dentistry and photography by Dental Boutique.

Dental Boutique has been offering beautiful porcelain dental crowns for many years. Many people historically know of dental crowns constructed with gold alloy, and even from other metal alloys; however this is no longer the case.
At Dental Boutique, we offer porcelain crowns as they are cosmetically and functionally the best solution for severely decayed or damaged teeth.
1. After settling you comfortably and numbing the area, the dentists at Dental Boutique will remove all decayed and damaged tissue, along with all bacteria and debris. The tooth will be reshaped and resized to best support the crown to be placed over it. Then an impression or mould of it to be sent to the laboratory which will craft your porcelain tooth crown from this model.
2. The shade of porcelain to be used will be chosen by using a shade guide against your natural teeth, to most closely match their colour. As working with porcelain has an artistic aspect, we have invested lot of time and effort for continuing education in this aspect, which is not taught in traditional dental schools.
3. A temporary tooth crown will be added to protect your tooth. This will be made of a plastic material and held in place with temporary glue. The team at Dental Boutique will tell you how best to care for it.
After you are again comfortably settled and the treatment area is satisfactorily numb, the temporary crown will be removed. Your new crown will then be examined carefully and try it in for fit. It must work well for your bite, not rubbing against other teeth or causing any discomfort when your upper and lower teeth come together. We will slightly adjust its shape or size if necessary. When you and the dentist are both agreed that it fits well, the crown will be cemented permanently in place.
You now have a new tooth, with a new lifespan ahead of it. Give it good daily brushing and flossing, to make sure that bacteria can’t get underneath it. An all porcelain crown these days is as strong as any other kind, and far more attractive. Your new tooth crown should last you at least ten years, even twenty or thirty, if you care for it well.
