Dr Andrea Phatouros

Dental Boutique Dentist

Andrea completed her Bachelor of Dental Science degree at the University of Western Australia in 1991, where she worked in Private Dental Practice as a General dentist. During her time as a General Dentist, she completed examinations to become a Fellow in the Royal Australasian Society of Dental Surgeon in 1994, she became responsible for the 1st year university program for Undergraduate Dental Students. Andrea has published a number of papers for the Australian Dental Journal, researching Indigenous Dental Health.

Andrea returned to university to then achieve a Master’s Degree in Orthodontics in 2005, where she was awarded the Postgraduate Clinical Award for Excellence in Clinical Presentation. Whilst in Perth, Andrea continued working in private practice. She was also appointed a Clinical Demonstrator for both the Undergraduate Dental Program and the Postgraduate Orthodontic Program at the University of Western Australia.

In 2009, she relocated to the Mornington Peninsula, working in orthodontics for the last 15 years. Where she has embraced the lifestyle, people and the community. Andrea firmly believes in keeping up with the advances of orthodontics by attending professional meetings and further training, both in Australia and overseas. She also believes the current philosophies in orthodontic treatment planning incorporate not only the dentition, but also changes to facial form and outline in the adolescent and adult. Andrea is passionate about orthodontics and finds it rewarding creating beautiful and confident smiles with both braces and Invisalign.

Andrea lives in Mornington with her husband and her son, who currently attends a local high school. Andrea loves baking and building Lego. You will probably find Andrea with her family and her bulldog Elsa in one of the many cafes around Mornington and beyond the Peninsula.

I love that I can create beautiful smiles, everyday
