Dr Andrew Cheng

Dr. Andrew Cheng graduated from Griffith University (Gold Coast) with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science, and a Graduate Diploma in Dentistry.

In his formal training on the Gold Coast, Andrew was president of his student association and also obtained multiple awards for academic excellence for ranking in the top students of his cohort. Andrew’s passion lies within implants, All-on-X and surgery (bone and soft tissue grafting) — and the ability to combine this surgery with cosmetic dentistry to fully give people a new lease on life with a spectacular smile.

In 2018, Andrew travelled halfway across the world to Bogota (Colombia), where he completed an intensive week of Live Implant Surgery / Sinus Lifts with MIS Implants. He has also completed a post-graduate diploma in Dental Implants with the Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology, is a fellow of the Kois Center which is a world renown dental training academy in Seattle (USA), as well as a 3-year post-graduate intensive residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics (EODO) through the City of London Dental School under the guidance of world-renown orthodontist Dr. Derek Mahony — and graduated DUX of his class with academic gradings based on examinations, assignments, and case presentations. Embracing the digital age of the CEREC CAD/CAM (ceramic reconstruction) system and digital scanners, Andrew is able to incorporate these two fields into his treatments to create beautiful, healthy smiles whilst being minimally invasive and conservative (preserving teeth)

Andrew understands that for most people, a dental visit can be very daunting — so he always strives to make the whole experience as smooth and pleasant as possible for our patients, families and children. Above all, Andrew’s passion lies in the long-term relationships and lifelong friendships he builds with the people who put their trust in him, and this responsibility to look after their health is what he finds most rewarding.

In his free time, Andrew loves to hit up the basketball courts, good food and craft beer, and is looking forward to planning his next trip to explore the world.
