Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-made coverings made from durable porcelain and bonded to the front surface of natural teeth. Their purpose is to change the visible appearance of teeth when clinically appropriate.
They may be considered as one option for patients who would like to adjust the colour, shape, or size of their teeth, or to address concerns such as:
At Dental Boutique™, our veneers are designed using high-quality porcelain selected for its strength and appearance. Veneers are tailored within a treatment plan to integrate with your smile while also considering function and durability.
Porcelain veneers are an elective cosmetic dental procedure and may not be suitable for everyone. Alternatives such as bonding, whitening, orthodontics, or crowns may be appropriate depending on individual needs. Outcomes and longevity vary from person to person. Treatment risks and considerations can be found here.
Dental Boutique™ has provided more 120,000 porcelain veneers to patients.
Our dentists use planning tools and techniques to help tailor our veneers depending on individual needs and concerns.

We have developed a structured process we call VeneerMe™, which incorporates our 5D™ Smile Design Process. This includes:
This approach reflects our focus on patient safety, informed decision-making, and care in line with national standards. Every patient’s case is different. Your dentist will discuss whether this approach is suitable for you, including risks, alternatives, and expected outcomes.
Our dentists assess whether Veneers are right for you by understanding your story, smile goals and concerns. We also look at the way you smile, speak and bite, taking note of your unique facial structure and characteristics. This personalised approach helps us put together a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
After assessing your suitability for veneer treatment, we take 3D scans of your teeth to begin creating your custom veneers. During your consultation with your dentist, the simulation provides a preview to illustrate potential treatment options. Your dentist will explain relevant information about possible outcomes. The simulation is a visual aid only, does not guarantee results, and the final outcome will depend on your individual clinical situation and treatment plan.
At this stage, we will apply your customised temporary veneers. Remember, your voice is essential to the final design, so feedback is crucial.
Your final veneers! Once your custom veneers are ready, our dentists will carefully bond them to your teeth.
Once your final veneers are placed, your dentist carefully checks their positioning and pays close attention to fine details. Where appropriate, small refinements can be made as part of this process. To help protect your teeth at home, we’ll also provide a retainer (or splint).
Learning about the features of porcelain veneers can help you understand whether they may be suitable for your treatment plan. Results, recovery, and longevity differ between individuals. The most appropriate way to explore whether veneers are right for you is through a consultation where your personal needs, risks, and treatment options can be discussed. For considerations and risks of treatment please see here.
Porcelain veneers can help address a variety of dental concerns, including discolouration, misalignment, cracked teeth, and gaps in your smile. They serve more than an aesthetic purpose, creating a smooth arc to your bite and a symmetrical smile in some cases. Veneers can also act as a splint for cracked or weakened teeth.
Each porcelain veneer is individually designed to fit the prepared tooth surface. Veneers can be tailored in terms of shape, size, and shade so they integrate with surrounding teeth and your overall smile design. They may be planned to support both appearance and function, where clinically appropriate.
Porcelain is a non-porous, glazed material and is generally stain resistant (such as from coffee, tea, or red wine). However, all teeth and restorations require good oral hygiene and regular dental care to help maintain their appearance.
Porcelain is a strong dental material that has been widely used in dentistry for many years. With good oral hygiene, regular dental care and appropriate maintenance, porcelain veneers may last on average 10-15 years. Longevity depends on individual factors, such as tooth condition, bite, diet and oral habits. Results will vary from person to person.
While porcelain veneers are most often planned for cosmetic purposes, in some cases they may also provide additional coverage for a tooth. This can support the visible appearance of the smile and, where clinically appropriate, contribute to protection of the underlying tooth structure. Veneers are not a substitute for restorative treatments such as crowns, fillings or extractions when these are clinically required. Suitability and outcomes vary for each individual and will be discussed during consultation.

Results, risks, complications, and recovery times vary by person and procedure. Treatment suitability can only be determined after an in-person consultation with a dentist, where your individual needs and circumstances can be assessed. View 300+ smilesPorcelain veneers can be used to help correct many concerns related to the colour, shape and size of your teeth. In order to determine if you are suitable for porcelain veneers we suggest a consultation with our team. During your consultation, we will thoroughly examine your teeth and discuss both your concerns and goals to assess if porcelain veneers are best for you.
We understand this is a very common concern around porcelain veneers and also a very big misconception. At Dental Boutique™ we have advanced technology and a highly skilled team, where we prioritise minimal preparation where possible. However, depending on your current smile, in some cases, some preparation may be required to allow a stable surface for the veneer to be cemented on.
During both your preparation and final application appointment, local anaesthetic will be used to help you feel as comfortable as possible during and after your procedure. At Dental Boutique™, we also offer many other pain management options if you require them.
With good oral hygiene, regular dental care and appropriate maintenance, porcelain veneers may last on average 10-15 years. Longevity depends on individual factors, such as tooth condition, bite, diet and oral habits. Results will vary from person to person.
Taking care of your veneers will be very similar to taking care of your natural teeth and will require you to continue brushing your teeth twice daily, floss and ensure you are visiting the dentist every 6 months for your checkup and clean.
Generally, porcelain veneers may be replaced. This typically occurs when the Porcelain Veneers have reached their lifespan.
It is important to understand Porcelain Veneers are a commitment. As with any dental procedure, porcelain veneers can carry potential risks and limitations. These may include tooth sensitivity, changes to underlying tooth structure and other risks you can view here.
At Dental Boutique™ we use advanced technology and place a huge importance on the safety of all of our patients. Your dentist will discuss the possible considerations for your case during your consultation, as well as alternative treatment options so you can make an informed decision whether veneers are right for you.
Many of our patients who get porcelain veneers may also look at our Invisalign/Clear aligners treatment to align their teeth prior. Teeth Whitening is also another treatment patients look into to help colour match their teeth with veneers.
We invite you to experience our no pressure, no obligation cosmetic consultation to help guide, educate, and confirm if porcelain veneers are right for you. Our friendly and highly trained team are passionate about healthy smiles.
Due to our extensive experience and knowledge, we will discuss all the different options available to you in your unique situation. We believe in supporting our clients in their decisions they make and tailor their treatment to suit each individual’s budget and personal situation. Each member of our team is committed to serving you, so please don’t hesitate to ask us anything.

At Dental Boutique™, we believe patients should feel informed about both their treatment and the costs involved. Payment plan options are available to help make this process easier to manage.
