Types of Night Guards
NTI Guards
The NTI Guard (Nociceptive Trigeminal Inhibition Tension Suppression System), is used to prevent medically diagnosed bruxism – a disorder that engages your jaw muscles during sleep, forcing you to clench and grind. This can lead to severe migraines and square jaw due to the overuse of the jaw muscles.
NTI Guards cover just the front two central incisors, which adds a layer of separation between the top and bottom teeth, providing relief from the tension.

How are Night Bruxism Guards and NTI Guards made?

To create a full-row night guard and an NTI guard, we scan your teeth digitally to capture your teeth in 3D. We design the guard with software that replicates the 3D scan, fitting comfortably to your teeth and your teeth only. Depending on the type of guard, the mould is created either through 3D printing or a suck-down machine.
At Dental Boutique, we recommend replacing your night guard every two years if you have severe bruxism and every five years if it is moderate.
