Veneers are thin, custom-made coverings—typically crafted from porcelain or composite resin—that are bonded to the front surface of teeth. They may be considered, when clinically appropriate, as one option to change the visible appearance of teeth, including:
Veneers may be an option for some patients, but they are not suitable for everyone. Results, recovery, and longevity differ between individuals. The most appropriate way to explore whether veneers are right for you is through a consultation where your personal needs, risks, and treatment options can be discussed.
At Dental Boutique, we offer a Complimentary Smile Discovery Session designed to provide general information and help you understand available treatment pathways. This session does not include a full dental check-up, X-rays, 3D scans, or any clinical treatment.
All veneers require ongoing care, good oral hygiene, and regular dental reviews to help maintain results. Longevity varies for each person and depends on individual factors such as bite, diet, and maintenance. Results do vary from person to person. To read more on treatment risks and considerations please see here.
Veneers can be planned to improve the visible appearance of several dental concerns within the same treatment plan, depending on individual suitability.
Veneers usually involve multiple visits for consultation, planning, trial stages, and final placement. The exact number of visits depends on your individual case.
Porcelain veneers are designed to be customised in colour, shape, and size. They can be planned to harmonise with surrounding teeth and facial features.
With good oral hygiene, regular dental care and appropriate maintenance, porcelain veneers may last on average 10-15 years. Composite veneers are less durable, and on average may last around 5–7 years. Longevity depends on individual factors, such as tooth condition, bite, diet and oral habits. Results will vary from person to person.
At Dental Boutique™, we understand that every smile is unique, and so are the needs and preferences of our patients. That’s why we offer a variety of veneer options to cater to diverse concerns and budgets. Our team will work with you to help discover which option is best suited to you. Treatment suitability can only be determined after an in-person consultation with a dentist, where your individual needs and circumstances can be assessed.
Porcelain veneers at Dental Boutique™ are thin, custom-made shells bonded to the front of your teeth. At Dental Boutique™, we have our own trademarked range of porcelain veneers called VeneerMe™. These veneers are made from porcelain, a material commonly chosen in dentistry for its strength and resistance to surface staining.
Hybrid Veneers are made of a blend of porcelain and composite materials, combining features of both. They are designed as thin shells that cover the front surface of teeth and may be considered as one option for patients exploring cosmetic dental treatments. Hybrid veneers share characteristics of both porcelain and composite veneers, with differences in material properties, cost and maintenance requirements.
Composite veneers are a form of adhesive dentistry where your dental professional applies a tooth-coloured resin to the front surface of your tooth. The material is shaped and set during the appointment, usually in a single visit. Composite veneers may be considered for patients wanting to change the appearance of teeth with concerns such as minor chips, discolouration or irregular shape.
Our VeneerMe™ Porcelain veneers are a strong material that is generally more resistant to surface wear than resin. With good oral hygiene, regular dental care and appropriate maintenance, porcelain veneers may last on average 10-15 years.
Hybrid veneers offer a balance, blending porcelain’s strength with composite flexibility. Their durability typically falls between porcelain and Composite veneers are less durable, and on average may last around 5–7 years.
Composite resin is less resistant to wear compared to porcelain. It does typically require more maintenance overtime, on average may last 3-7 years.
Longevity depends on individual factors, such as tooth condition, bite, diet and oral habits. Results will vary from person to person.
It is important to note that outcomes do vary for each person. Please review treatment risks here.
The three veneer materials differ in how they respond to staining:
Porcelain veneers are made from a non-pores ceramic material, which is generally more resistant to surface staining compared to resin based options.
Hybrid veneers, combining the materials, their stain resistance typically falls between the two.
Composite veneers are resin based and can be more prone to discolouration over time. Stain resistance and appearance can differ depending on factors such as diet, oral hygiene and lifestyle habits.
At Dental Boutique™, our focus is on providing treatment options that consider both function and appearance. We believe that all veneer materials—porcelain, hybrid, and composite—each have different characteristics and suitability depends on the individual’s needs and oral health.
Porcelain veneers are made from ceramic material with translucent properties that resemble tooth enamel. They are commonly chosen by patients seeking a material that offers a tooth-like appearance.
Hybrid veneers combine porcelain and composite resin, sharing characteristics of both. They may provide a balance between material properties such as appearance, strength and maintenance.
Composite veneers can be a practical option for subtle enhancements. They often require fewer visits and minimal enamel preparation, though they typically have different surface and polishing characteristics compared to porcelain.
It is important to note that all types of veneer require maintenance and each carry their own risks and considerations. Please visit our risk page here to learn more.
At Dental Boutique™, our veneers are entirely customised to you and so are our veneer packages.

At Dental Boutique™, we are committed to helping you achieve both a functional and aesthetic smile with our advanced 5 step process – in 5D.
We have worked on our processes to provide patients the ability to provide feedback and have a collaborative experience throughout their treatment journey.
Our cosmetic dentists assess whether Veneers are right for you by understanding your story, smile goals and concerns. We also look at the way you smile, speak and bite, taking note of your unique facial structure and characteristics. This personalised approach helps us put together a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
After assessing your suitability for veneer treatment, we take 3D scans of your teeth to begin creating your custom veneers. During your consultation with your dentist, the simulation provides a preview to illustrate potential treatment options. Your dentist will explain relevant information about possible outcomes. The simulation is a visual aid only, does not guarantee results, and the final outcome will depend on your individual clinical situation and treatment plan.
At this stage, depending on what type of veneers you have chosen, we will apply temporary veneers or begin the application process. Remember, your voice is essential to the final design, so feedback is crucial.
Your final veneers! Once your custom veneers are ready, our dentists will carefully bond them to your teeth, checking the fit, feel and look.
Once your final veneers are inserted, your veneers are positioned correctly, you’ve provided any necessary feedback, we can help you refine your smile with additional tweaks and refinements. At home, you can continue to maintain and protect your smile with your custom take home whitening kit and night retainer.

View more smilesChoosing a treatment option depends on your goals, lifestyle and budget. During a consultation at Dental Boutique™️, our team will discuss these factors with you, along with your dental health and clinical considerations. We will provide information about the available treatment options, including potential risks and benefits, to help you make an informed decision. Where relevant, we may also consider how treatments can be planned in harmony with your overall appearance. Every individual is different, and outcomes vary — our role is to support you in deciding what is most appropriate for your circumstances.
Once your veneers are on, they may take a little bit of time to adjust to, however, they require similar care to your normal teeth. Brush and floss regularly, routine dental check ups and avoid habits like biting nails or chewing on hard objects can help reduce the risk of damage.
Porcelain and Hybrid veneers require multiple visits, as they are custom-made in our lab, whereas Composite veneers can often be completed in a single appointment.
The appearance of veneers depend on the material used, the individual case and the treatment planning process. The result is also guided by patients requests and concerns. Your dentist will discuss how each material may appear in your case and what to expect, as outcomes vary for each person.
Our Porcelain veneers, VeneerMe™ are the most durable option, they may last on average, 10–15 years+ with good oral hygiene, regular dental care and appropriate maintenance. Hybrid veneers can offer moderate longevity and may last on average to 7-10 years, while composite veneers can typically last on average 5–7 years. Longevity depends on individual factors, such as tooth condition, bite, diet and oral habits. Results will vary from person to person.
