About
During his final year of dental studies in 2008, Dr Ly worked in the Special Needs Unit (SNU) at Adelaide Dental Hospital, contributing to the care of medically compromised patients with chronic illnesses, including HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, cancer, and transplant recipients. He also had the opportunity to work with the Broken Hill-based Royal Flying Doctors Service as part of the South Australian Dental Service.
Following graduation, Dr Ly continued working at the Special Needs Unit for one year before moving into private practice at a dental clinic in the northern suburbs. In June 2009, he joined Jamestown Dental under the mentorship of Dr Richard Daley, initially in a part-time role and later becoming Practice Principal in early 2010.
After six years managing the practice, Dr Ly relocated to Adelaide to be closer to friends and family, where he established Myrtle Bank Dental, a clinic with a focus on cosmetic dentistry.
A gentle touch
Dr Ly strives to be a gentle and caring dentist dedicated to providing patients with access to modern, high-quality dental care. Dr Ly is able to provide a range of dental services including; cosmetic veneer treatments, dental implants, oral surgery, Invisalign (clear aligner therapy), and the fabrication of chairside porcelain crowns using advanced CEREC technology. Dr Ly actively participates in continuing professional development courses both in Australia and internationally.
He has also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Orthodontics (UK), enabling him to provide sequential aligner therapy, such as Invisalign, safely and effectively.
Committed to giving back to the community, Dr Ly volunteers his time and dental skills to support local initiatives, including assisting homeless individuals in Adelaide through his work with the Salvation Army.
