Dr David Yu is the Principal Dentist of Dental Boutique Geelong. He was born and raised in Canada. His father ran a cosmetic dental lab, where he was responsible for the fabrication process of cosmetic veneers. This ultimately sparked David’s interest in dentistry.
David started his University education in Canada, but his passion to explore the world brought him to Australia, where he obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Adelaide. After working for two years in Australia, he decided to move back to Canada with his wife, Sharmaine, to further his training primarily in implant and cosmetic dentistry. After putting Sharmaine and himself through six brutal Canadian winters, they decided it was time to move back to Australia, where they have called Geelong home for the past five and a half years. They have since spent their time building a cosmetic and general dental practice in Geelong.
David’s passion for cosmetic and implant dentistry has allowed him to not only transform smiles, but to witness the positive changes that this can create in people’s lives.
David has two beautiful daughters, who he enjoys sharing his passions with, including one of his favourite sports, tennis. He loves trying new restaurants with family and friends, along with a good bottle of red.
